Bookperformance emerged within academic space through Çiğdem Mirol’s MA research on self-reflexive literary and artistic narratives. What began as an inquiry into writing and reflection became the formulation of Bookperformance as a living system of co-authorship. This trajectory continued through doctoral research at KASK & UGent, where Bookperformance was further developed as a practice-theory of knowledge-making across artistic, philosophical, and relational contexts. Here, research is on life itself and therefore unfolds through it. Mirol has been sharing Bookperformance through conferences, lectures, and academic encounters through presentations entitled “Being in the Wor-l-d”, “Transparent Desire in Wor-l-d” and “The Best of All Possible Wor-l-ds”, where it is co-enacted as a responsive field of articulation. The academic engagements below are the environments through which it continues to reach out, reflect, and evolve.
