Çiğdem Mirol authored the “Bookperformance Manifest” (11.11.11) as the conceptual formulation of Bookperformance in the outcome of her MA research. It was first published as the closing scene of MyFace Bookperformance (2012 TR, 2014 EN). It extends her PhD research, reorienting Bookperformance as a practice-theory of knowledge-making grounded in reciprocal processes between realization on life’s stages and reflection within the life’s pages. Articulating Bookperformance’s ethical and relational position, it opens a space for participation, where writing, reading, and living become co-creative acts. It draws attention to the conditions through which Bookperformance continues to live, grounded in shared authority, transparency, and responsibility. It has accompanied Bookperformance across its various manifestations and has been multilingually enacted every 11 November since its inception, in public spaces:
