Body & Sound of I & Eye (U): Bookperformance

“You love structures, you write by knowing that any ecriture without structure collapses some day.
You have advanced in the art of finding headlines, you yourself have found the most beautiful headlines
to the most beautiful songs, to the most beautiful ecritures,
to the most beautiful structures and to the most beautiful people”.

In the series of “Circles & Lines & Signs & : Bookperformance”, Çiğdem expresses how the circles, lines and signes construct not only the ideal and textual content of a bookperformace but also the indesign of it.

Spaces that architecturally inspires Çiğdem are the fields that she turns into a page with her body acting the invisible pencil moving on and in circles, lines and signs.

These series of bookperformances which reflect an essential exercise or training in the discipline of creating a bookperformance serve as sponteanous or planned challanges for the series of “body & sound or I and eye: bookperformance”.
