Author – Reader Performance is initiated by the author’s direct interference with the readers/audience in here & now of a chosen time and space, around the Bookperformance text. The story that is fixed on page is moved on stage in total improvisation through act of reading it aloud. It tells how a writer becomes an author; from the day-dreams to reaching out the publishing authorities. Such a subject creates interesting discussions about autority and democracy that often interferes the act of reading very fruitfully.
The documentation of this performance consists mainly of the witnessing texts and occasionally of souvenir photos taken at the end. Because the performance is created thanks to giving voice to the word, and voice acts more genuinely in natural flow rather than when it is recorded. Besides, it is the fact that people tend to share their authentic self when they are not filmed. Such a source of resonance cannot be sacrificed for the digital documenation. This choice is both the fragility and the power of this performance, which organically contributes to the social life.Authorship is shared.
